These flats stand as the two tallest buildings in Scotland and are a brilliant example of the many Brutalist buildings in Glasgow.

The Hollywood sign originally said “Hollywoodland” when it was installed in 1923. The last four letters were deleted when the sign was refurbished in 1949.

Streets of London: Spitalfields a century ago, in pictures
On Saturday 20 April 1912, photographer CA Mathew stepped off the train at Liverpool Street Station in London and spent the day photographing the streets and local Jewish community around Spitalfields market – in particular, the crowds of curious children who gathered there. Sandys Row Synagogue will be exhibiting these hitherto unseen images from 20 September.
