it looks like someone hit their head against the keyboard several times before pressing enter, while naming this town.
the four L’s in a row just seems unnecessary

My favorite author described the Welsh language as “consonants strung together like anal beads from Hell”.
Each LL is a single letter, there are 28 letters in the Welsh alphabet including eight diagraphs. The sign is a tourist thing, go into the town & you will find it referred to as Llanfair PG. Welsh is a beautiful language as you will find when you listen to Ruth Jones speak it.
