Mill Hill Fire Station (1929) by London County Council Architects Department.
The London County Council architects department was from 1889 to 1965 responsible for designing many public service buildings in the capital. The department designed schools, hospitals, housing schemes and fire stations, such as this one in Mill Hill.

Ealing Fire Station (1931) by LCC Architects Department.
In the interwar period it was common for Fire Stations to also house ambulances (as can be seen on the left of the image). This continued until the NHS in 1945 was created and separate ambulance stations built.
